forcing the cat to roar.

well, its' the weekends!

The week was pretty okay, nothing much. Instead of going home for night's off this week, I went out with the rest to Jurong Point to grab a meal and we went to the supermarket to stock up on supplies. I bought Honey Bunches of Oats, which I could safely say that most people in our branch like. So much so that Chief went to get a box herself. Haha.

We're gonna have some courses which should prove to be quite interesting next week. What is it? I won't tell you for now...

Tomorrow's finally jamming again. However I'm struggling to learn the songs we're supposed to play tomorrow. It's quite difficult when you have to learn a new song the night before you play it together with everyone. Oh well. I heard we're going to Aljunied, so I'm guessing it's at Swee Lee.

After that probably lan gaming at Bukit Timah or City Hall. I can smell Al Ameen too.

Okay, sleep! bye!

blue and yellow.

Well, that's another weekend I guess.

Spent the whole weekend in church. Yesterday we had a leadership seminar in Sentosa, was in church from 8am (had BB Core Leaders), till like 10pm. It was fun though, learnt quite a bit on leadership, and the types of it. What was nice about the seminar was the tea break. As with all Singaporeans, I love tea break. Not just for the food, but for the fellowship. I talked with people whom I don't usually talk to/have the time to talk to. I caught up with my buddy who was my platoon-mate in Ninja company during BMT days (oh how the illusion of how it seems so long ago), and a few others whom I usually only say hi to before/after service.

Had usual service today, then went home to sleep. I slept for like 4 hours, woke up at 7pm. I had this weird dream that I went back to JJC to study. So I was searching my cupboard for my uniform, and found out that instead of beige it had turned white. Then a second later it became beige again. I was late for school. What's ironic was that despite the long dream, I didn't even reach school. Most of the dream was spent at home, searching for something. What, I don't know.

Wanted to meet the gang for lan, but we didn't in the end. We played at home.

Well as you can see, I don't have to book in today, I'm going on another round of inspection at some other camp which I don't know yet. So I hope it'd be slack, apart from tomorrow, it's just another mundane week.

So how do I keep myself alive and optimistic throughout the week? I don't know about you guys, but this is how I count my weekdays:

Mondays - Nothing much to look forward to, it's the WORST day of the week! But however long the day seems, it's not that bad, because we just booked in the night before.

Tuesdays - Digital Life! and Nights off!

Wednesdays - Mid week! Singapore Idol!

Thursdays - Urban! and hopefully nights off for the 2nd-year soldiers so camp would be quieter! Singapore Idol results!

Fridays - Book out!

As you can see, I actually look forward to getting the extras (digital life, urban) that come along with The Straits Times. Sadly, it's a far cry from my JC days, when I view my weekdays in terms of timetable, like Monday's and Wednesday's PE, Tuesday's softball, or something like Monday's computing day, Tuesday's GP day, and so on and so forth. Well, but I guess my current system of calculating the days to liberation is much better, as I'm not counting days in terms of IPPT (equivalent to NAPFA test) and SOC (equivalent to pain)!

Oh well, enough rambling. Time to floss, brush teeth, and sleep. And hope the weekdays will pass fast! I haven't gotten my T-shirts and gig bag which I have been wanting for so long! Garghh!

Goodnight!

the last '1'

I've got a confession to make.

If you guys haven't figured it out by now (which I'm pretty sure that includes lots of you!), it's my birthday today!

That's right, I'm 19!

Too bad though, my mum and sis is away at IMF, so birthday celebration was dad, brother, the maid, and myself.

Sis got me a super thick and heavy photography book, which is quite interesting. Got an ang pow from my parents cos I didn't know what to request.

This week was terribly busy in camp, cos everything went home. For one, I 'lost' 7 controlled items. Which sucks, alot. Why 'lost'? That's because I didn't lose it, someone else did. But I have to take the punishment cos I was the one who drew the items. How cool is that? So I've got like a few officers and friends who sympathizes and have promised to help me. For one, I might get confined.

Tomorrow's core leaders, and it's worship leading again. After which, to sentosa for a leadership seminar. I wonder what's it all about. That means I have to go everywhere with my guitar. And that reminds me, I haven't bought my gig bag YET. I need a couple of T-shirts as well. So probably Peninsula Plaza on Sunday.

Erm, apart from that nothing much has been happening. So, I'll just leave you with all these, and have a great night.

i wonder if you know.

Man.

If I haven't told you about this yet, Teriyaki Boyz - Fast And Furious Tokyo Drift, the track from the Fast And Furious, is strangely addictive. I hated the song the first time round I heard it, but as they started to play it more often, I started to get hooked.

Especially that darn chorus.

Didn't get to book out this week, 'cos the whole battalion was outfield. Well, everyone except for a few of us (including yours truly).

So I did guard duty, and did my usual office work.

Pretty normal week.

Had my birthday dinner today, because 2 of my family members are involved in IMF next week. Yeah.

But now, back to gaming to web surfing. Seeya.

lugging it around town in the brown box.

Well well, life in the past week was great. Why?

Cos I went home (either stay-out or for a few hours) almost everyday. Monday night slept in camp, Tuesday stayed out 'cos we had course on Wednesday. Slept on Wednesday, Stayed out Thursday 'cos it's battalion anniversary today (Friday).

Today was fun. It was battalion anniversary so we had a day out from camp. We met real early (7.15am at Kallang) for dragon boating. I was damn afraid I would be late so I took a cab that cost me $13 and I was the 5th of 670+ people to reach the place. How nice. I thought Kallang would be far from where I stayed (Jurong). I didn't know it was like 5 minutes from Sheares Bridge.

Dragon boating was fun. We got overall 2nd place. So we won a packet of Cadbury Boost each. lmao. IMHO, dragon boating's like kayaking, except that it requires ALOT more team effort. And its' a one-sided paddle. Fun, I could understand why they wanted to do dragon boating. Coud also see that the guys had loads of fun. Or at least I had. But I prefer kayaking anytime. Perhaps next week, at East Coast. And most prolly I'll be getting a Crocs sandals for sea sports. I'm sick of getting my Teva wet every week.

After dragon boating I went home, changed my guitar strings, and set off for church for band prac. It's for BB's core leader's meeting tomorrow. Tightened a few loose nuts, scrapped away some rust from my lack of playing for the past few months. Let's hope everything goes well tomorrow. Had a quick dinner at Tanglin Halt (just like the good ol' days) and went back to church to Corporate House of Prayer (CHOP!). Mixed around with the sec 3 leaders and kids, then had supper at the Attic, then went home.

The sad thing is, I'll be booking in tomorow. That's cos I have guard duty. Yep, you read it right. But before that, I'll be in church for the core leader's meeting, then should be meeting the rest of the krew for luncheon and getting myself a gig bag. I'm quite sian that I haven't bought my gig bag for my acoustic guitar I got a few weeks back. I'm tired of lugging it around town in the brown box.
