Beyond God-like.

Hello.

Went to church for service today, after which had lunch with Jia Le because we didn't have class today. Went to the arcade then went home for awhile.

Went to Borders@Wheelock Bryan to get a couple of books which we didn't in the end. Headed to Cineleisure to play lan for an hour, then got myself Greenday's Bullet In A Bible.

Went to Kinokuniya@Takashimaya to get a few books for Corporal Chua and ourselves. Was stuck between 2 books: God Of Small Things and To Kill A Mockingbird. Decided on the former because I hated the font used in the latter. Heh. So my time will be occupied for the next 2 weeks I guess. Now the Company Office is full of bookworms. Heh. We have loads of books like Warcraft, Diablo (which happen to be a hit amongst us), Eragon, Eldest, Heart of Darkness and a few others which name escapes me at the moment.

Anyway, a good read would be Eragon and Eldest, the first two books of Inheritance, by Christopher Paolini. It's something like Lord Of The Rings, but better. A page-turner.

Field camp this Friday, so won't be back till next Friday, which sucks alot. :(

Update again tomorrow, goodnight!

The Pledge of the Cookhouse patron.

I, [state NRIC, rank and name], do solemnly and sincerely swear that,
whenever I book out,
I, will not eat economic rice,
remember not to scan my 11B at McDonald's,
finish my food in 10 minutes (or less),
ask directions on where to drop off my tray, cup, utensils, and plate,
not to worry about flag raising/lowering,

WITH MY LIFE!

Grenade Out! 1-thousand, 2-thousand, 3-thousand, 4.

Hello thumb suckers!

Today is book out day again!

Oh hell yeah.

So another week has passed; field camp is next Friday, so I won't be booking out. Sigh. Since I'm OOT, I'll be helping out logistic-wise. Like, set up water point, blah blah. I guess.

The past week has been normal OOT days.

Except training has become tougher (for the non-OOTs) since adjustment week is over.

And we have 10 OOTs now! That's 7 people joining the club in a week. Beat that.

Thank God that Monday's a public holiday, so I can afford to go out tomorrow and shop for new books and stuff to occupy my time for the following week.

Okay, update again tomorrow. Seeya.

duty honor country, ninja company!

Hello,

I'm back! Thankfully it's Good Friday today so I have my first book out! Woohoo!

Anyway to start things off I would like to say I'm out of training (OOT). Why? Cos of my high blood pressure hehehe. So I'll be slacking for a few more weeks before I'm posted out to some mainland unit as a clerk or technician or signaller etc. 3 months later I'll be having my FFI (medical test) to see if I'm fit for a BMT recourse or just continue in my current unit I'm posted to.

Tekong life isn't as bad; the thing that kills is actually the regimentation. What does that mean? It's having 27 minutes to eat your food with 20 minutes stuck in the queue. It means having 2 minutes to find a way to bathe. And getting scolded 24/7.

But of course there has to be regimentation. If not, how can one make the enemy die for his country?

Anyway, book in will be 2045 at Pasir Ris tomorrow. My field pack will be packed with food, food and glorious food.

But speaking of food, the stuff we eat at Tekong is actually not bad. Today for breakfast we had scrambled eggs, baked beans, chicken fillet and hamburger bun. Then we had fish and chips for dinner. Weeeee.

See you all next Saturday!

genesis of mankind.

Hey.

I suppose this is the last update for the next 2 weeks.

I'm all packed (hopefully!), squared away.

Something awesome happened though, check out here! Haha! Thanks bro, that's damn cool lah. Maybe you should be enlisting instead of us.

Hahaha.

Anyway, I guess I'll be seeing friends from school tomorrow in camp.

Life changing experience, here I come!

See you all in 2 weeks!

they perched on their stilts.

Hello.

Yesterday was so busy, I met 4 different people to do different things.

Firstly, workout with Andy.

Then, went to meet some of the BB Boys as they wanted to have a meal with me before I went into Tekong.

Afterwards went to the army market to grab some stuff I thought I needed with Khai. Hilarious, I didn't know where to begin so I went up to the first store I saw (which was pleasantly well-stocked) and I went, "Auntie, what to buy for pre-enlistee?" She saw me and replied, 'Recruit ah! Okay come come I show you".

She tossed a red tray into my hands with a laminated piece of paper containing items to buy. I didn't know what to get so I bought everything (except rifle equipment) that I didn't have.

Then it was dinner with the family.

Today will be the last day of civilian-hood(?) for me. Will be going to town with the JJ people later. In 24 hours time, I will most likely be touring BMTC School 2 with my fellow to-be buddies and my family. Right now, I will pack my bag for tomorrow.

Excited? Maybe. Nervous? Not quite. Prepared? Never.

I shall post an update on today tonight.

oval perfection.

Hey there!

Did some few funny things today.

Met up to become the 3 stooges. Went for a workout then went to play arcade @ JEC. We managed to beat the high scores for all the basketball hoop throwing game. For the record, scores were (in order of machines), 379,379,432,371.

Ok then I received an email notification for this week's faculty test for ADM! Hurray! Hopefully I can get out of Tekong though.

3 more days of freedom.

I raise my glass to the memories we had.

Okay, Hosay!

Okay, please applaud me for my creative title today. I was thinking of something that rhymes with 'okay' and immediately I thought of 'hosay'. Then it became too singlish and blahblahblah there you go.

Anyway, Saturday was friggin tiring. After my 10 hours of post-processing (check out the previous post), I had to wake up at 8am to go to Khien's place (thanks again!) to burn a DVD for my submission. Dear Khien had to report for work late because of that.

After that it was a mad rush to go down to NTU to submit my portfolio. I got lost in NTU. I took a cab and it went like don't know how deep inside and on the way out I got lost. I walked like 999miles to the nearest 'shuttle' bus which coincidentally was the right bus out of the campus. After that I went home, lay in bed and slept the day away until I went out with the family for dinner!

Okay on Friday (applaud me for the order of post), the three stooges went down to Jack's Place at Clementi to have lunch. After which I went to NUS and SMU to submit my documents. NUS was alright, we (Andy and I) got lost near the field and Gabriel(the third stooge) saved us and such. Cabbed down to SMU and I didn't bring an envelope, which resulted in me pleading with the lady security guard to spare me an SMU envelope. After I sealed and submitted the form, I realised I forgot to insert another document(HAHA). So I pleaded for another envelope and submitted. We got lost in SMU too. Darn signs.

Okay, gym and swim tomorrow with the stooges.

5 more days as a civilian!

Genesis.

Okay,

finally completed the post-processing. There's a problem though: if I burn the file to a VCD, it shows up as 28MB, if I burn it to a DVD, it says 1.8gig. The weird crap is that both looks the same. Doh.

Did up my portfolio, and edited the video today. Think I spent almost 10 hours today doing the darn thing, and now I'm uber shagged. Let's hope I get into ADM.

I can't seem to upload the bugger onto the net, seems like the 1.8gig/28mb is taking it's toll on www.youtube.com (and myself).

Hopefully I wake up early tomorrow, and all goes well.

Hope also goes to the Adventure Quest team, and as I'm typing this they should be in Temasek Polytechnic starting to wake up to their 50km race. Too bad doc said I can't go. But luckily he said that, if not my portfolio's dead meat.

Ok I need some rest.

Bye.
