Right, so it has been decided

that I HAVE to study hard now. Really really really. Heh, today's parent's teacher conference was a disaster. I got like a B C O. Mum nagged. Dad nagged. And I had to hear both versions seperately. Of course, what they said was relevent and hit home. Dad said I won't go to church until my A's are over. Heh! Oh well, can't be helped. What CAN help is me studying hard from now on. But of course, I'd still hang on to God. For all I've got, that is.

Our school timed the university talks well, one day before the teacher - parent conference. So I have decided on Business (Information Technology). That's want. Then we get back our results.

That's reality.

Okay, from now on, all out studying. After all, it's for only 3 months. Then we'll see where we'll go from there.

Oh, I missed out on Sonic Fest 05! Anyone went? Hillsong + Delirious are coming this 5-7 August @ Indoor Stadium @ 7.30pm. FOC. It's time I went, haha. Hopefully the songs would be from Unified Praise, love that album to bits!

Yesterday was Parousia's last gig @ SonicFest and The Third Place before disbanding. Sad, but true.

Okay, time to sleep. Have to STUDY tomorrow. Sheesh!

On a brighter note, maybe I can finally finish reading my novel.

Goodday all.

Always and Forever.

Yup, the weekend has passed by AGAIN.

It's damn fast, it's like only a few more weeks to the prelims. Then after that the deciding A Levels. Then we slack (actually we 'answer the call of our nation'.)

I finally bought my FM2n! Haha, I got it for $450, second hand. It came along with a 50mm f1.8 Nikkor lens. Not bad at all. And yes, it's an SLR. NOT digital. I don't like digital.

Now that I finally have gotten what I want, I can serve in the Communications minitry once I'm free (from the clutches of the education system)! Hurray!

I uploaded a new song, it's by PlanetShakers. It's from their new album, Always and Forever. And I've decided to upload that very song you're listening to right now. It's great. Edmund and I exchanged CDs over the weekend in church.

And it's past midnight now, so if you're reading this post, you'd better go sleep! See you in school soon!

-Tim.

Always And Forever
PlanetShakers

There's nothing better
Than living for You
Saving my world with You,

There's nothing better
Than praising Your name
And lifting my praise
Wanna spend forever
Standing in your presence

And I wanna show You
What you mean to me God
I give You my whole life
And I gotta tell You
That I am yours forever
Lord I give You my whole life

Jesus I will live for You
In everything I do
I'm holding onto You
Always!
Always and forever..
And when my world is falling down
In You I will be found
I'm staying in Your arms today
Always!
Always and forever..

There's nothing better
Than living for You
Saving my world with You,
There's nothing better..
And I wanna show You
What You mean to me god

I give You my whole life
And I've gotta tell You
I am yours forever
Lord I give You my whole life

Always
Always and forever
Always
Always and forever
Always
Always and forever

Freeze You Turkey!

Hello!

BOUT was great as expected. I got to know lots of people too. We went to Pulau Ubin despite the rain and thankfully it stopped raining the moment we started the event. As a result, the weather wasn't that humid. So what was BOUT about? It wasn't an evangelism event as I thought it would be. It was some sort of station-based treasure hunt around the island. It sort of allowed us to know and trust God better. I don't think anyone who didn't go for the event knew what BOUT was about just from watching the video. That's what made me go for the event, and that's the redeeming factor. We didn't know what we were up against until the minute we started playing.

Take away points were that we should have faith in God just like how we had faith in the map we were given with.

Anyhoo, I uploaded another song. It's called Reflector by Delirious, fast worship song which I usually like. What this song means to me was that accepting Jesus into our lives is just the start of our Christian lives, but rather we have to reflect and show His love to others. Just like a mirror.

Yep, enjoy the song. Lyrics are below. I'll try uploading a new song every week yeah?

Reflector

Since I've found your love
I've never needed anything to fill my heart
Even when I fall
You're always there with open arms to pick me up
From the start I knew
No one else could make me feel the way you do
Everyday I want to grow
Just a little bit closer, just a little bit closer

I want to be a reflector
I want to shine with your glory
I want to let the whole world know that you're
Living in me

I want to burn with your fire
Shine my light a little brighter
I want to let the whole world know that
Jesus Lives in me

What the world will never take.

Hello!

It has been a busy weekend for me.

I've been spending time in BB/church activities, and I'm loving it!

Saturday was filled with BB activities, we had our FINAL youthJam practice, and we recorded some of the stuff we played. Andd had our final 40 days of purpose activity during Core Leader's Training. After that went back to sleep, hehe.

Today we had Faith bowling event. It's an annual event whereby families take part in a bowling competition organised by the church. My family didn't take part of course, they're atheists, and I hope and pray that someday they will come to accept Christ. I took part with the BB officers. The event kicked off on a happy note with Pastor Barnabas bowling a strike for the opening ball. Not bad eh? I got scores of 97,94,114. Haha. Haven't really bowled for a long time. It was great la, I got a see a few people I haven't talked to for a while. Oh and I won alot of novelty prizes, including a lucky draw prize. I got 3 novelty prizes, which consists of 2 purses, and 1 kit which has scissors, nail clippers and some other girly stuff. I don't know how I won that, but I finally have my own purse! Hurray!* For the lucky draw prize, I won Rainbow Six - Black Thorn. It's not bad lah, old game but still playable. It's free, so who's complaining? :) The funny thing was that there were actually 3 Timothys playing today, 2 Timothy Tans and 1 Timothy Cheong, so whenever a Timothy was read out by the emcee, all 3 of us would go out and ask which one of us won. Haha. In the end all 3 Timothys got prizes, cool eh? And I thought I would get an award for the straightest bowler aka. most longkangs. I had don't know how many longkangs until I think I was one of the bottom players for the above 16 category. I think my ranking was actually in the middle of the kids who played in the under-16 category. Haha! It was great fun, this bowling.

Today marked FMC's and QCMC's 39th anniversary as well. We had service at 5pm instead of usual TTB service at 9am. It was great, worship hall and the sanctuary was jam-packed. I was expecting it to be, since all services were combined into 2 parallel services. Yup, songs were great, there were a mixture of contemporary songs, modern worship and hymns. Sermon was by Rev Dr Isaac Lim. It was about People with Faith. It was funny too. Mixture of jokes throughout the sermon. Learnt the action for the song Celebrate, Jesus, Celebrate. We sung that during singspiration in the morning before the bowling event started, then we sang that again during service. I saw another girl who was doing the action also, haha.

Next week I'll be going to BOUT! I can't wait, I think it's some evangelism event for TTB. Mr Chong approved of me going, stating that it was a good time to expand my network in church. Church events are fun.

I saw another FM2 auction on Ebay again. It's way cheaper, and I think I'll discuss with my dad again. I'm considering joining the Communications ministry in church if I ever get that camera. And of course the Music ministry.

And here's a song I've recently uploaded for your listening pleasure. Oh, it's absolutely legal since I've got the CD. Or is it still illegal?

Here goes:

My Best Friend

So I Look To You.

Hello all.

What a short week it has been.

No school for me tomorrow!

I'll be going to take the Air Force trial. Hopefully I'll pass, then I can be a pilot or something.

:)

Today after school, we (winson, yuhua and I) went to JP like we do every Thursday. Went to grab lunch at Mos Burger (as usual) and walked around. Usually we have a specific route which we follow after eating, but somehow today we didn't. We went to Popular as I wanted to get Hillsong's latest CD. But I couldn't find it anywhere. I finally got the CD at Life Bookshop. It's called Look To You, by the youth worship band in Hillsong. It's great. Makes me want to serve in the Music Ministry more. Awesome songs!

I've decided to take part in interhouse tennis, softball, and badminton. Abbas needed a tennis doubles partner, so I decided to join him. We'll be playing (or at least try to) tomorrow. Shawn wants to throw balls(softballs of course, whatever were you thinking!) in the afternoon. So yup, it'd be one heck of a day tomorrow.

And the councillors are gonna step down tomorrow! So this part of the blog is to gratify them. Thank you so so so much for all you've done, it's been a wonderful time leading/playing with you guys since last year! Seriously, you guys are definitely better than the 23rd council, let's hope that your successors will be able to be on par or even succeed you guys further. Orientation, Chinese Riddle Competitions, tournaments, pre-u seminar, and other events have tired you guys out physically, but definitely not in spirit.

You guys SIMPLY rock!

Once again, I salute you!

Tim out.

Happy 18th Birthday eh! Wtf, 18 years gone by so fast yeah? Here's to almost 18 years of brightly burnt (and still burning) friendship!

Selamat Harijadi!

Stay cool eh?

My Best Friend

My best friend is of course Jesus!

Saturday's parade was great, haha but worship was a tad slow. We sang My Redeemer Lives at too slow a tempo, maybe it was because it was difficult to transit from a slow to a fast using only an acoustic. Yup, but all in all Saturday was fun. After parade Mr Chong treated us (some of the officers) to Sakae Sushi. I ate bento, sashimi and all those stuff and paid only $10! Haha.

Yup. I really enjoyed yesterday's service alot. The songs were those of which I know (surprisingly!) and after service we had great fellowship with Daniel and Jia Le. Too bad Eric and Chee Yoong wasn't there. Oh and I overslept for bible study so Daniel was mentoring only Jia Le. Haha.

Yup, I've stepped down, and that means it's time to concentrate on studies. However I don't think I will feel comfortable having an empty Saturday morning slot (but I'd probably be sleeping anyway). And yesterday after service, there was an announcement about BOUT, acronym for BOX OUT, which is some outing (treasure hunt I think) to pulau ubin. It's been long since I was on that island (think last year, during AQ). I know that island pretty much well, where the temples, cemetaries, prawn farms, and highest peak is. It's also a great time to know people from TTB, which is long overdue for me. I've been to TTB for like 2 years and I still don't know anyone other than those in the music ministry and my BB friends. Haha. Yup, so since I'll be going alone, I've decided to rope in a couple of friends. AMENDA AND YI CHENG, YOU READING? Ha ha.

That outing clashes with our BB CARES, which is on the 16th July. We're supposed to go Police Academy to have some fun fair. Hmm, about 3 years ago we had a similar fun fair and the President, which is the Patron of the BB, came to visit our stall! Muaha. But since I've stepped down (and Pulau Ubin sounds more interesting), I should be going for BOUT. It's be some childish fun with kiddies, and of course another opportunity to know more about God, which I want to.

I've also just finished my Continuous Random Variables, which is like a few days overdue, kindly reminded by Mr Lee (who else?) during lecture on Friday. He had some sort of PMS I think. I read somewhere that men get affected by menopause too. Men-opause, geddit?

Time to relax, chillout.

But not for long.

Seeya.

Oh I feel like dancing.

Helloo.

Yeep.

It's going to be a special day tomorrow, because it will be the day that I'll be stepping down (temporarily!) till the dreaded A's are over. That'll be like 5 months yea? And youthJam is going to conduct worship tomorrow. But we're going to perform only 3 songs, and not the 6 songs we originally planned. And we have to make do without drums, bass, keyboards, and electric guitar as originally planned. So it's gonna be a 3 man show tomorrow, consisting of Mavis, Edmund and I. We've been practising for about a month now, and I can proudly say that we've improved alot since the last worship conducted. I went to church after school today, reached about 8pm. We tried the songs with only an acoustic and it sounded great. We also fitted in a last minute song too. So the finalised songs for tomorrow are Magnificent, I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever and My Redeemer Lives. Why a youthJam worship tomorrow you might ask? It's because it's the Sec4 Graduation Party tomorrow. It's something that the planning committee came up with the say goodbye to the sec4s, for they are also going to step down for their A's, or N's.

Yep. It's been almost 10 years in the Boy's Brigade now. And I've still no regrets joining the movement. I've really learned alot for the past few years, and I've been growing in the Lord. Without the BB, I bet I would have just a brief knowledge of who Jesus Christ is.

Oh, back in school we had our GP mid-years today. It was horrible! I think I wrote out of point for my essay, and paper 2 contained lots of advanced vocabulary. It was quite okay, luckily I read novels during the June 'holidays' and I knew a few of the words.

Anyway, tomorrow is here already. And you know what?

It's time to say goodbye.

For now.
