hey the time has come.

hay sexys!

How's it going?

For me, I'm still quite the same person I was last year. More or less settled down in camp, more or less happy with the way things are.

Tomorrow's SAF day, so we had our CO parade today. For me, it's my first parade in my NS life, interesting. Just like a typical BB parade. OC came to pin our OFL badge on our sleeve for us.

This week also saw the lao jiaos going for their combat shoot on Wednesday. Funny, but I'll keep it to myself, thank you very much.

After book out today I went to Sembawang @ Lot 1 to (finally) get my copy of Hell Freezes Over by Eagles. Wee hooo. Dad actually stayed at the living room and watched a couple of songs 'cos he loves them.

Ooooooooooh yeha.

Duty tomorrow, I'm covering for someone else. I'm bringing some of my DVDs/VCDs (includign Hell Freezes Over) to waste the time away in camp. So see you all on Sunday morning/afternoon.

EDIT: I just watched Genesis, the short film I made which I submitted as part of my NTU portfolio. Weird, watching your own production, watching yourself (with hair and) with friends, hearing your voice doing the narration. But at the end of it, I smiled, because it felt strange, strangely familiar. Weird.

the best way to break the bonds of temptation is not to resist it.

Hi.

Interestingly enough, immediately after I hit the 'post' button, the dude who took my phone actually called me.

So I went to take a cab (carefully, not to drop anything else) to Bukit Batok to get my phone back. I wanted to give him 20 smackeroos but he didn't want. So fine there.

But surprise surprise, when I got back my phone, I found out my wallpaper, profiles were all modified. Looks like mr. nice guy played around with my phone, which is SO UNCOOL.

Maybe he didn't want to keep it 'cos I blocked my SIM card, and the other reasons in the other post.

My parents upon hearing I lost my phone immediately bought the same one. So I've got two of the same phones with me now. Heh.

That was yesterday afternoon. In the evening, I met up with Winson, Yuhua and Khien, initially to catch WestGrand Boulevard playing @ Plaza Sing. However it rained and so I think it got cancelled or something. Or maybe it was supposed to be today, cos amps and drums weren't even brought out onto the platform.

So we spent the whole evening at PS and ate at Pastamania, Bravissimo, drove to Marina South, slacked, went to I.R.C @ City Halll to play lan. We tried out SWAT4, which was frigging hilarious by the way we played. We tried a 'one guy stand beside the door to open it, another guy stand behind it to shoot at whatever's behind it' tactic, only to get killed immediately by a single terrorist cos Yuhua used the wrong weapon (modified shotgun designed to blast doors open only). A local BF2 clan which I will not name was present which I presume to be training up, which was cool. Uncool, because they screamed and shouted and made a din. Irritating.

After that the guys went to camp over at Winson's place, while I went home.

This morning I went church (late), ate with them at Subway@ Holland V, met up with Winson and Yuhua to get stuff at army market, went home, here I am.

Leaving house to go back camp in 1.5 hours time. Oh yeah. Here comes the new week.

How I wish I was back in JJ studying. All the times spent in the computer lab with the computing gang, having fun with buddies, getting scolded by lecturers for nothing even seems unnaturally tempting now.

Oh well, 1 year, 6 months (almost) left.

See you.

omgwtf.

HI.

i lost my phone in a taxi 10 minutes ago. when i got home, i called my phone, phone was bloody switched off.

thanks alot singaporeans.

don't worry, i have already suspended my sim card. worry, because i have lost all my contacts.

wtf.

makes me wonder why people behave like that. find a phone, can't just search through the list and call 'Home' or something. and whats even more amazing is that's just a nokia 1600 which i bring to camp. a phone with no camera, no mp3 player. just a normal phone. and some arse just has to switch it off. come on man, you won't even get $100 selling it, if you can sell it in the first place. wtf.

i wonder why morals of some singaporeans are so bitched up. they just NEED to have the spoils of someone else.

now my mood to go shooting and enjoy a gig has dissipated.

goddamnit, dial 'Home'. it's not as if i won't give you a reward.

the first snow of the season.

Aye.

Weirdly enough, when my mum called to ask if I wanted them to pick me up from camp just over an hour ago, I said no, as I wanted to walk home alone. Weird, but true.

The strange thing was, on the way back, I saw 3 of my friends from JJ. Yup, when I don't usually see one in 1 week unless we pre-plan to meet up. Heh. One's a clerk at Tengah Airbase (just opposite my camp), one's an RP at Kranji, one's in the Navy.

Hehe. Looks like I have the 'best' vocation among them, depending on how you view things.

Heh! Eragon and Eldest, part of the Inheritance trilogy by Christopher Paolini, two books which I read while in Tekong, is in the process of being made into a movie and game. Hurrah! It's two books I highly recommend you to read, if you like LOTR kind of stuff. This trilogy is of dragons and shadeslayers. The third and last book is currently uncompleted, most likely by next year.

Oh yeah.

Heh heh. It's Tuesday night already. A few more to the weekends.

Can't wait.

Slack, then back to camp. See ya.

chapter 21

Hi again,

Here's what I did today, as promised.

Went to the Singapore Botanical Gardens for a walk-about shoot. Quite refreshing, nice to see people enjoying themselves in parks. Met Andrew @ 10.30pm at Orchard then headed down where we started shooting interesting objects until about 12pm.

Had a short lunch at BK @ Millenia Walk where we had a funny discussion on our JC life and culture.

Went to the Esplanade at 2.15pm, where I bad farewell to Andrew and bought my ticket for The Great War. It was fantabulous. It's a great, original kind of telling a story. The artists do the movement of cameras and objects in front of you, and there's a big projector screen which shows the end result. They use dry ice, parsley, beans, and toy soldiers to narrate the story of a young soldier (whose name escapes me at the moment) during World War 1. Bloody great.

I slacked around Esplanade for about an hour after the show. Funny enough, I always remember the 'vow' the three of us (Winson, Yuhua and myself) once made around January that we will never go to the Esplanade again, cos we went almost everyday till we got sick of it. In the end, we got ourselves temp jobs at the Esplanade for February and March, and I always head down there for some shows or just reflection every other weekend.

There was this performance at The Living Room @ The Concourse today. It's actually the main lobby at the Esplanade. There was this French guy who made hats using large brown sheets of paper. At first, he stood in front of the crowd which numbered around 30 and made a hat for himself. I thought that he was gonna fail in captivating the crowd considering the crowd looked quite bored.

Then, he took out many sheets of brown paper and started distributing it amongst the crowd and invited them to come forward to take a seat on the floor and follow his instructions on how to fold a hat.

Interestingly enough, all of them came forward and eagerly made their hats. Some of them who came later even went up to him to get paper! Most of them folded their hats really clumsily and they looked funny. Haha but I guess they had fun so that made up for it. I noticed that they took photos with themselves in hats. Cool. For the record, the crowd swelled up to almost 50+ onto 60.

Kudos to you, mr unknown French hat-making man.

After which I went down to Paragon to meet up with Khien and Yuhua. Khien was having this buskering thing for the Bone Marrow fund. When I reached there Zero Infinity was singing their last couple of songs. Khien and his ensemble played a couple of hot sounding songs, despite the low volume.

Here you go:

For a great cause.

Met new friends over there. Eric, Evelyn, Hans, Irman. After that Khien, Yuhua, Eric and Evelyn and myself went to have dinner. Eric and Evelyn went away after dinner so the rest of us went to play lan @ Far East. Fun DOTA match.

Went back, then here I am.

Sleep, church later.

Seeya.

dead but not remembered.

Here we go, a picture taken @ the botanical gardens. I figured I haven't posted a photo for quite sometime, so here's one, in all digital glory. Unprocessed, straight from the cam. What I like about this photo is that it can be used for a poster message.

Will talk about today's event later on. It's quite eventful but let me bathe first.

list of WTBs.

Hey again.

Thanks to Joshua, I now have an addiction to classics. Classic movies that is.

I bought Citizen Kane (hurrah!) last week, along with other war movies like Tora! Tora! Tora!. But I can't seem to find those that I want.

So, if you own any from the below-mentioned list, please sound out and I'll grab it away from you with my lightning fast hands!

Metropolis by Fritz Lang
The Birds by Alfred Hitchcock
M by Fritz Lang

Okay bye.

english country garden.

hey!

This week, in my opinion, passed quite fast. Monday came and gone, and the subsequent days too. And it's Friday! Book out!

First things first. World Cup is here, and thank God for it, we have something to occupy us for the next few weeks. Hurray!

Secondly, Winson's a medic, Yuhua's a combat engineer, Gabriel's gonna be an officer! Wohooo! As for me, I'm staying in my dear old Keat Hong camp.

Thirdly, dear old Railgun has gone to Seattle to study. Lucky ARSE! Maybe I'll go over after I get my degree in game design/filmmaking.

Life is okay right now, I'm quite comfortable with where I am, what I'm doing now. I know what to expect throughout my NS life in Keat Hong too, so I can expect things to get hectic starting August.

But that's alright.

I'm going to the Esplanade to watch The Great War tomorrow. Been interested for quite some time, so hopefully we'll be able to grab some tickets (with discount: NSF!). After that should be around Singapore taking photos. Heh heh heh.

Seeya later alligator.

mana shield + stats

Hello!

The last week was fun, cos we went outfield from Sunday till Thursday. Yup, the clerks in my unit have to go outfield as well. Interesting huh?

Anyway, it was my virgin outfield trip, and I daresay that I learned many things and have seen many awesome sights outfield. For instance, I saw an assortment of weapons from peashooters to tank-busters. Yowza!

Nothing much to say about outfield, cos it was just a repetition of the previous day's activity. It's great to be back though, I missed my air-conditioner and toilet bowls.

Friday was half-day's off cos we went outfield, so we (those who went to Cambodia) had a mini outing to town. Photos soon to be uploaded (and not developed). Went back, watched World Cup and fell asleep on the couch during the post-match stuff and woke up at 3.30am. Had a quick bath and continued sleeping. Woke up at 3pm, and now I have no idea what I should do next.

Boring entry, but we'll see how the weekend develops itself. Seeya! DOTA for now.
